City of Calistoga - The City of Calistoga is located 80 miles North of San Francisco in the scenic Napa Valley. It is found at the top of the Napa Valley, at the foot of Mt. St. Helena, which rises 4500 feet above the city. Calistoga, population 5,000, is a popular destination for visitors to the heart of the Wine Country. Calistoga is best known for its geothermal hot springs, mineral water, and is home to California's Old Faithful Geyser. It is also the home of the Napa County Fairgrounds.

Napa Valley Genealogical Society - The Napa Valley Genealogical and Biographical Society offers its members and the public a means for learning about ancestral heritage and homeland history.

California Historical Society - Serving over 4,500 people a year, the North Baker Research Library provides an extensive collection of manuscripts, maps, posters, printed ephemera, books, and pamphlets.

Art Galleries

Ca'Toga Galleria D'Arte Ca' Toga is the Palladian villa that Italian born artist Carlo Marchiori has built just north of Calistoga in the Napa Valley. Mr. Marchiori is a world-renowned muralist who specializes in period art interpretations in Renaissance, Baroque and Neoclassic styles in fresco-like techniques. He is also produces original ceramic plates, ceramic tile panels, paintings, sculptures, furniture and Roman style base-relief stone plaques. His art and artifact are available through his Ca' Toga Galleria D' Arte located in downtown Calistoga.

Lee Youngman Art Galleries - The Lee Youngman Galleries features a broad selection of work by important national and regional artists. Upon entering our spacious world of fine art, you'll experience varied pleasures of viewing origional oils, watercolors, pastels, graphite and sculptures. A kaleidoscope of color and imagery, the gallery's diversity and depth is truly outstanding.


Attractions

Old Faithful Geyser - Come visit a grand old show, a spectacular, nature- directed performance. The stage, walled by thick bamboo and plumed pampas grass, appears as an innocent pool of shallow water until time for the major attraction. Uprising steam and bubbling hot water announce the geyser.


Entertainment

Calistoga Inn - Brewery - In addition to the hotel, restaurant and brewing facilities, the Calistoga Inn has a 65-seat English-style Pub adjacent to our indoor dining facility. The Inn's Pub is a popular gathering place for locals. Worn plywood flooring, faded denim table clothes and a col-lection of old beer signs, this makes a comfortable drinking area reminiscent of the pubs throughout Europe.

Napa Valley Chorale - The Napa Valley Chorale provides the opportunity for study and performance of major choral repertoire. Shopping

Calistoga Pottery Jeff and Sally Manfredi have been producing pottery at their studio on Highway 29 in Calistoga for more than twenty years. Their hand-crafted stoneware is used in many local homes, inns, restaurants and wineries and is designed to be used with food. Visitors to the studio will usually find them at work throwing and glazing the pottery which is available for sale on site (open daily 11-5).

Things to Do

Calistoga Balloons - Your adventure begins just after sunrise, between 6am and 7am, when ballooning conditions are best and the morning sunlight enhances the natural beauty of the famous Napa Valley. You are invited, at your option, to take part in the balloon inflation, a particularly colorful and exciting part of the experience. Shortly after boarding the balloon is gently airborne and your flight has begun.
